Getting started

Four steps to connect a Scrypt ASIC and get paid in every coin you mine.

Beta. The ports, difficulties and worker format below are the beta defaults and may change. Mining is not open yet. Wait for the test-miner go-ahead before connecting.

  1. Get a Litecoin address

Use an LTC address from a wallet you control. It identifies your miners on the pool and is where your Litecoin is paid.

  2. Create an account and add your payout addresses

Sign up, then open Account settings. Enter the same LTC address you mine with, plus one payout address for each merged coin: DOGE, BELLS, LKY, PEP, JKC, DINGO, SHIC, CRC and TRMP. You can change them at any time.

No address = that coin is forfeited to the pool. If you have no payout address set for a coin when your share of a block is credited, that share goes to the pool's unclaimed-coins wallet. It does not build up and is not paid later. An address you add afterwards only applies to blocks found from then on. Set your addresses before you start mining.

Addresses are your responsibility. Coins sent to a wrong address cannot be recovered.

  3. Point your miner at the pool

Stratum URL (beta defaults, may change):

    stratum+tcp://luxxpool.luxxlabs.ca:3333

Choose the port that matches your hardware (beta defaults, may change):

    PortProfileUse forStarting difficulty
    3333High difficultyAntminer L7, L9 and L11, and large fleets262144
    3334Low difficultyElphapex DG1 and home miners16384

Difficulty adjustment per worker (vardiff): [OWNER CONFIRM: whether vardiff is enabled and its range]

  4. Set the worker name and password

Worker name format, either of (beta defaults, may change):

    LTC_ADDRESS.worker
    USERNAME.worker
    • LTC_ADDRESS is your Litecoin address.
    • USERNAME is your LuxxPool account username. The pool uses the LTC address linked in your account settings, so link one before you start.
    • worker is any label for the machine, such as l9-rack1-01: 1 to 32 letters, digits, - or _. Give each machine its own name so you can tell them apart in the miner lookup. Without one, the worker is called default.

Password. This is the miner's stratum password field, not your account password. The pool ignores it. Enter x.

Example configurations

Enter these in your miner's web interface, on the pool settings page, then save and let the miner restart. Replace luxxpool.luxxlabs.ca and LTC_ADDRESS (or use USERNAME) with real values. (beta defaults, may change)

Password: x

Antminer L11

Worker: LTC_ADDRESS.l11-01
Password: x

Elphapex DG1

Check that it works

After the miner reconnects, its own status page should show the pool as alive with accepted shares. Then open the miner lookup and enter your Litecoin address. Hashrate on the pool is estimated from your shares, so it takes a while to settle. How soon a new miner appears: [OWNER CONFIRM]
