Terms of use
The terms for using LuxxPool during the public beta.
Draft. This text is a starting point and has not had legal review. [OWNER CONFIRM: every section, with legal review before launch]
Last updated: [OWNER CONFIRM: date]
1. Who operates LuxxPool
LuxxPool is operated by [OWNER CONFIRM: operator legal name and jurisdiction]. By connecting a miner to the pool or using this website, you agree to these terms.
2. Beta service
LuxxPool is offered as a public beta, as is and as available. It may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn at any time. See the beta limitations.
3. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the payout addresses you provide. Payments sent to an address you supplied cannot be reversed, including when the address was wrong.
- You are responsible for keeping your account password and two-factor device safe, and for everything done through your account, including changes to payout addresses.
- You must have the right to use the hardware and electricity you mine with.
- You are responsible for complying with the laws and tax rules that apply to you.
4. Fees, payouts and forfeiture
Fees, the reward scheme, thresholds and the payout schedule are described on the fees and payouts page and form part of these terms. They may change during the beta.
Each coin is paid in that coin to the payout address set in your account. There is no exchange or conversion between coins.
Forfeiture. If no payout address is set in your account for a coin at the time your share of a block on that coin is credited, that share is forfeited to the pool's unclaimed-coins wallet. It does not accrue to you and will not be paid later. A payout address added afterwards applies only to blocks found after it was added.
5. No guarantee of earnings
Mining rewards depend on luck, network difficulty, coin prices and uptime. LuxxPool does not guarantee any level of earnings, and nothing on this site is financial advice.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attack, overload or attempt to manipulate the pool or its payout system, and do not mine with hardware or computing resources you are not authorised to use. Access may be blocked for abuse. [OWNER CONFIRM: consequences for abuse, including treatment of balances]
7. Privacy
Litecoin addresses, worker names, hashrate, balances and payouts are shown publicly on this site. Payout addresses for merged-mined coins are not shown publicly. Your account stores your username, your email address if you gave one, and your payout addresses. This website uses no analytics; its only cookie is the login session cookie. The pool's servers process the IP addresses that connect to them. [OWNER CONFIRM: log retention, data controller and contact for privacy requests]
8. Liability
[OWNER CONFIRM: limitation of liability wording]
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. [OWNER CONFIRM: how changes are announced]
10. Governing law
